Wild about Books by Judy Sierra A librarian get's lost and ends up at the zoo. The animals learn to read and build a library of their own at the zoo. After the story we sang a song called "You Can Hear" to the tune of "She'll be coming around the Mountain." During the song we made different animal noises of animals that live in a zoo. Our next story was

Book! Book! Book! by Deborah Bruss This story is about farm animals that are bored because all the children have gone back to school. They head into town to find something to do and end up at the library. After this story we sang "Old McDonald." The kids again got to make different animal sounds. Our last story was

Lola at the Library by Anna McQuinn This story is about a little girl that goes to her local library. It tells about all the things you can find and do in the library. Our craft today was to make a bookmark. Next weeks theme is Flowers.
