Its been a crazy couple weeks ending with the snowstorm of the year! We had a small group today of 9 children and 4 adults. Our theme for today was Mud. Now that we finally got all the snow, we are looking towards spring. Our first story today was

Mud by Mary Ray This story is about the transition of winter into spring and the mud that forms during this time! After the story we did a finger-play called "Five Little Pigs Rolling in the Mud." Our next story was

Stuck in the Mud by Jane Clarke This story is about a little chick who gets "stuck" in the mud and how all the barn yard animals try to come to his rescue.  After the story we pretended to make some mud and mud pies. We then sang a song called "I'm a Little Piggy" to the tune of "I'm a Little Teapot." We sang this song a couple times. Our last story today was

Preschool to the Rescue by Judy Sierra This story is about a bunch of vehicles that get stuck in a giant mud puddle. Who comes to save them? Why the preschoolers of course! Our craft today was piggies in a mud puddle. Next weeks theme is Rain.
