We had a smaller group today of 9 children and 4 adults due to school having a two hour late start this morning. However, we still had a lot of fun. We started by talking about how much we would really like it snow so that we can play in it. Our first book this morning was Outside by Deirdre Gill This book is about a little boy who goes outside to play in the snow. After the story we did a rhyme called "The Snowman." While saying the rhyme we acted out building a snowman! Our next story was

All you Need For a Snowman by Alice Schertle With this story the children got to guess what was coming next as a group of children built a snowman. After the story we sang"Frosty the Snowman." While we sang the song I drew a picture of frosty. Our last story today was

Snowmen at Night by Caralyn Buehner This story is about a boy imagining what his snowman does while hes asleep. Our craft today was a picture of a melting snowman. Next weeks theme is Sledding/Skating.
