Your children are invited to join Manson Public Library’s summer library program and attend the fun programs we are planning for children ages birth to 5th grade. This summer’s theme, “Reading Colors Your World,” explores the science of colors and kindness to others. The programs are free and open to children of all abilities.
Programs will be held outside in the park next to the Library. Programs may be cancelled due to weather. If cancelled, craft kits will be made available for that week or children will be invited to do the craft for that week in the library. Facebook and e-mail will be used to notify participants of cancelations.
While registration is not required, it will help us better plan to accommodate everyone.

Summer Library Program
Story Hour meets every Tuesday at 10:00 from October - April. Ages birth-5 years. An adult must attend with the child. We encourage early literacy by exploring weekly themes through books, crafts, and music.
Each summer the Manson Public Library provides programs for three age groups, Birth-preschool, TK-2nd, and 3rd-5th. For five weeks we explore themes, related to the overall summer theme, through books, games, and crafts. This is one way to help stem the "summer slide" of students.
We offer special programs throughout the year. Past programs have included: tea parties, pirate party, and New Year's Eve party. As well as special guests such as Dan Wardell from IPTV and Bug Zoo by ISU extension. Keep a look out for these events on our events page and facebook.
The children's area features a table and chairs where young children may play. LEGO's may be requested at the desk. We also have an Early Literacy Station computer for kids to learn on. The computer features 4,000 localized learning activities.
